2.  STORM :  for both muses to find shelter from a severe storm. ( andrei @ rebecca )

This is what she gets for thinking a nine hour drive would be more relaxing than a one and a half hour flight. She’d been thinking with her wallet at the time and by the time the rain starts coming down in the late evening while her hatchback is struggling down the waterlogged dirt road a little ways from the Indiana border, she’s cursing her self of two days ago who’d reasoned that a nice long drive would be a good way to decompress before having to face the reality waiting for her in Virginia.

There is nothing decompressing about her windscreen wipers going back and forth in brutal defence of the rain, her headlights the only illumination of the road for several miles. She’s hunched up in her seat, trying to peer out as best she could, but natural light has all but slipped away from the sky, and she’s been forced to reduce her speed to a crawl just to make sure she doesn’t go veering off the side of the road. 

That’s the only reason, when the figure appears seemingly from nowhere in the middle of the road, she’s able to slam on the brakes hard and fast enough, to stop her car from crashing into the man. She doesn’t realise the scream that had come from her mouth in her shock, nor the horn she had pressed down until a few moments pass and the car comes to a skidding halt inches from the man, tyres desperately trying to hold tract on the slippery road. 

Adrenalin shoots through her, and she breathes hard and fast, arms straight in front of her clutching the steering wheel in a white knuckled grip while her foot remains like lead on the brake. There’s nothing but the sound of her breathing inside the car, and the grating of her wipers that continue to dash back and forth across her windshield. Outside the rain continue to bucket down and right in front of her the man stares in her headlights. 

A few more seconds pass before she moves again, pulling up the handbrake and shutting off the engine. Half of her is still reeling from the fact that she very nearly killed a man on this godforsaken stretch of road — which she will be hundred percent filing a complaint about when she gets back home. The other half of her is wondering what kind of man would be out wandering alone in the middle of the storm — where was he going, or more concerning, where was he coming from ? In any other situation, Rebecca would have locked her doors, stayed put, and shut her mouth . . . but she had almost just run him over. 

This is how people get murdered, she thinks to herself, digging into her tote for her can of pepper spray, unclipping her belt and getting out of the car. ‘ Are you okay ? ’ she calls over the sound of the rain, squinting through it as her hair and clothes immediately get drenched.

Having a daughter was paradise. Rebecca Barnes was an angel baby- she was quiet when she needed to be, she slept through the night, and she never threw a fuss when she ate. You thought you hit the jackpot, being blessed with the perfect baby.

Until the terrible two’s hit.

All day, every day, Rebecca would throw tantrums at you. The minute she turned two, she would whine and get angry about the simplest things. Being alone in a room for less than two minutes, having to eat vegetables, even if you were too close to her. And the worst part was that she only ever seemed to act this way towards you. She never acted out with Bucky. She adored him- in fact, she went to him when she needed comfort. And Becca made it clear- you couldn’t try to comfort her without her asking for Daddy instead. Bucky also knew this, and though he always tried to get her to be nicer to you, he secretly loved how attached she was.

The minute you told Bucky that you were pregnant, he was just as attached. There were days where he almost never left your side. When you found out it was a girl, Bucky made a personal vow to protect his girls with everything he had in him; give them the love and care they deserved. They were the lights in his dark life, and if he did so much as upset either of you, he felt like his world would be over.

“You can’t have that for dinner, that’s not what Mama made.” you pleaded with your toddler, who was about to throw her second tantrum of the day. You and Bucky both knew that tantrums were just a part of Rebecca finding her voice and her emotions, but god, you hated them with every fiber in you, especially when they happened multiple times a day.

Today, Rebecca didn’t want to eat the dinner you’d made for her and insisted on skipping right to dessert. Nothing crazy, just another toddler thing you had to work around with caution. You couldn’t just let her starve, but she couldn’t just have ice cream for dinner either.

“I want Daddy!” Rebecca demanded.

“Daddy’s gonna say the same thing, bug.”

Rebecca pouted, but her facial expression changed the second you heard Bucky heading down the stairs.

“What’s goin’ on? I heard my name.” Bucky asked.

In an instant, Rebecca’s features softened. Her once angry expression turned innocent and sad, reaching for her father while still in her seat. “Daddy…” she cried, using grabby hands to let Bucky know she wanted him to pick her up. She pouted, her lower lip out and her best puppy dog eyes on display for Bucky, as if she wasn’t just whining and crying at you thirty seconds ago. “I want ice cream.”

Bucky internally winced. God, he was in trouble. All Rebecca had to do was give him those eyes, and he was a goner. He could never say no to her, and he knew that would come back to bite him in the future. Ever since she was a baby, whenever she cried, he did everything he could to make her tears go away. “Becca baby, look at the yummy food Mama made for us. Doesn’t that look good?” bucky said, trying to steer the toddler away from the idea of dessert for dinner.

“But I want ice cream,” Rebecca pouted. One way or another, all three of you knew that she was going to have the dessert she wanted.

“Rebecca, if you keep acting like this you won’t get ice cream at all.” You interjected, causing your daughter to flash her angry eyes at you. You were definitely on her bad side right now.

Don’t give in, don’t give in. Bucky kept repeating in his head. You can’t give in to a two-year-old.

But those puppy dog eyes always managed to send daggers through Bucky’s heart. He was completely wrapped around Becca’s finger, whether he wanted to admit it or not.

“Here’s what we can do,” Bucky said finally, “You eat at least three big spoonfuls of dinner, and then I’ll take you out for ice cream. Does that sound good?”

You repressed a sigh. You were positive there was perfectly good ice cream here, but Bucky always insisted on spoiling his little girl.

Becca nodded, still slightly pouting.

“You want me to help you?”

“Buck, she’s not a baby anymore.”

Bucky knew that was true. That she didn’t need help eating anymore. That Rebecca didn’t really need his help with most things now. But just for a moment, he wanted to stop time. Pretend she was still a baby and ignore how quickly time was passing. “She’s still my baby,” he said quietly, more to himself.

But you still heard him. And though you wanted to protest again, you needed a moment’s peace. Let Bucky do the work? You couldn’t object to that. You sighed, stood up as Bucky quickly sat in your spot.

You kissed the top of his head and ruffled his hair. There was an unspoken understanding between the two of you; yes, the two’s were indeed terrible. But with each other, you could get through them. Rebecca might be angry with you right now, but Bucky could handle her. Eventually, she would grow out of this phase and be back to her happy self. She was already starting to be back to normal once Bucky took a spoonful of the soup you’d made, making airplane noises as he brought it to Rebecca’s mouth.

Until then, Bucky seemed to have it under control. After all, you did secretly love how much of a daddy’s girl Rebecca was.

Havoc/Rebecca (Fullmetal Alchemist) Snowball Fight: A standard patrol turns into a snowball fight between a bored Rebecca and Havoc as they are temporarily stationed at Briggs together.

Rebecca Zamolo spent 24 hours as an Egyptian princess challenge to win Game master device. Matt and Rebecca then realized Maddie was taken while spending 24 hours escaping train for face reveal of mystery person. The GameMaster network learned the Game Master is bad after spying on mystery person to find clues about switch up. Rebecca decides to trick the mysterious man at a giant smurfs game in real life. The best friends invite him to audition for a role in a Smurfs movie. Rebecca and Maddie are in disguises as smurfette one and two, while Daniel is disguised as papa smurf. The Halloween hacker pretends to be the casting director for the smurfs lost village movie. We try to get the mystery man to do a face reveal but he wants to stay in character as brainy smurf. The first round of auditions is a smurfs tik tok dance challenge where we must learn how to do choreography. The ice cream sundae challenge we must try to chose the best toppings. Rebecca’s cousin Maddie gets her worst fear of hot sauce and pickle juice. Gargamel appears and it turns into a hide and seek chase. Rebecca finds the best hiding spot in her room and spies. So I read the first chapter of Eden’s Zero and thought I quickly throw in my two cents.

Idk how to feel about it yet. True, the characters look very similar (much more similar than FT’s charas compared to Rave Master - except Jellal lmao) and I’ve troubles not feeling reminded of Fairy Tail. The friendship theme is strongly evident again and it looks like it’s gonna be the main thing again - while I liked the thought of the meaning of friendship in FT (although even in FT more romance stuff came to light in the end) I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to repeat the whole deal if he wants to make it original.

I certainly didn’t like the many boob and fanservice shots in the first chapter alone. That just gave me bad vibes - the fanservice became far too extreme and ridiculous in FT as it progressed and seeing this kind of thing right at the start (the mention of Rebecca’s shortened skirt for the youtube channel, the boob grabbing even though Mashima TRIED to give an excuse for this, I stil don’t like it. the panel perspectives and etc.) wasn’t so good.

At least it seems to be a differently themed Universe and the robot-themed stuff could become interesting. The way they sent Shiki off the island could have been handled differently though, in my opinion. While the reveal seemed emotional at first sight, I just thought that they could simply have told him why he has to leave/why they want him to leave. Now this boy is out there thinking they hate humans and wanted them to die and??? Welp.

I liked that Rebecca is such an eating machine because I love food, and I love cats lmao.

I didn’t like that she just cut Shiki’s hair short without getting his consent. I’d have been fucking mad. It’s just not cool at all. So Rebecca just cutting his hair while he was SLEEPING? No-go.

It’s too early to judge the characters though. He... seems to try giving them different character traits so they remind less of Natsu and Lucy but let’s see if that’ll work out. I’ll probably keep reading it at first and see where it goes, although I know that I won’t get as invested in it as it was the case with FT for me.

I’ve lots of salt about FT, especially regarding the treatment of my faves. But after all FT has helped me through my toughest time, let me met new friends, my best friend, and many nice people and got me my top OTP up until now. I still love the Raijinshuu and Freed and Laxus and Fraxus in particular to bits (and like, Fairy Tail’s characters are overall so good?? like they’re all really unique and I just love FT for its characters sm) and I know I’ll miss them despite the salt, despite the frustration especially towards the end.

So I’m looking forward to the anime continuing for now and hope the animators won’t add shitty comedy scenes for my top fave Freed, stay true to the manga or, if they add stuff, make it great IC additions. I hope the FT fandom will live up more again too when the anime continues!
